Premo Record's Freestyle Battle & Open Mic Night (Every Tuesday at 10pm)

Located in Champaign, IL at Tonic Nightclub on 619 S Wright St (Green St./Wright St.), Premo Records hosts an incredible energy filled evening where talented artists from all over come to lyrically battle it out on the Mic over an enormous collection of musical instrumentals. Artists who battle are competing for cash prizes and give-a-ways. In addition, artists can sign up to perform anything from Hip-Hop, R & B, and Pop to Poetry and singing. We recommend anyone who wants to perform arrive before 10:45pm to sign up. DJ's spin Hip-Hop, Pop, Dance Hall, and R & B all evening in between performances for dancing and enjoyment. This event takes place EVERY TUESDAY night beginning at 10pm and is open to the public. We have now begun to host our exclusive Friday night Freestyle Battle Championship and Special Performances on the first Friday of every month. ARTISTS MUST ARRIVE PRIOR TO 10:45pm TO RESERVE THEIR SPOT TO PERFORM/BATTLE!!

Cover charge is $4 on Tuesday Nights and usually $5 on the first Friday of every month. The Nightclub offers $1 Bud/Bud Light Bottles, $2 Amarettos, $2 Long Islands, and Hypnotiq Specials all evening on Tuesday nights. Enjoy FREE FOOD from various local sponsors all night and random free gifts for everyone. Come out to show off your talents, be heard, and enjoy the excellent atmosphere and good music!!! On first Friday Championship Battles of every month, Premo Records invites A/R representatives and executives from various major record labels in the industry. They come to listen for new talent and potential recruits. It is an amazing opportunity for young artists to be heard by someone who can actually help their future music career.
